LeopardDocks is simple application that changes the Dock Theme. Its straightforward UI makes it very easy to modify your Dock and undo changes. I highly recommend LeopardDocks to anyone who wants to give their dock a little personality.

Dock Themes

On the LeopardDocks website, there is a collection of various Dock themes that can be downloaded.

To Change The Theme

1. Download and Launch LeopardDocks. Download a theme from leoparddocks.com

2. In LeopardDocks, browse for the downloaded theme

3. Select the theme, click “Change My Dock” and confirm the changes with your password.

Have a web page that you would like to add to your dock? Fluid allows you to do that. With Fluid you can create individual site specific browsers (SSBs) and run them as separate applications in your dock.  Each SSB created has a menu bar and desktop icon. Fluid is a very simple application, that’s easy to use.  I access my online Napster account with it, next to my iTunes. Here is how you can add a web page to your dock.

Open Fluid

Insert the information for the website you’d like to use. I used Facebook as my example.

Click ‘Create’ and the new application will appear on the Desktop, or whatever location you selected.

You can keep the application on your desktop or the folder of your choosing. I chose the Applications folder.

Now the SSB is running and can be seen on the dock.

This week’s app of the week is Dock Dodger. It can be annoying to have applications that you’d like to hide, take up precious dock space. Dock Dodger eliminates that problem by allowing you to hide  applications from the dock. I personally use this application when I am running Steam with Crossover Games. Normally, when I open Steam Crossover Games automatically opens and takes up dock space. However, with Dock Dodger, Crossover Games remains hidden from the dock.

Simply drag and drop the application into the Dock Dodger window. To undo any application hiding, drag and drop the same application into the window.
